Life is hard right now. Really, really hard. I will eventually be ready to write about it, but not yet. And honestly, journal entry-type updates–like the few I’ve written up until now–have never come naturally to me. They aren’t interesting to write and I doubt anyone else finds them all that interesting to read. So I’m giving up on that sort of forced content in hopes of putting something authentic on the Internet.
I will be posting about little things that bring me joy going forward. Because when the big things feel all wrong, I have to cling to the little things. That might be what I’m knitting or baking or reading or watching or listening to. I might pepper in some creative writing here and there.
And there will definitely be photos of fun ‘n’ funky things, like a happy whale carved into a cliff on the beach in Santa Cruz.
